The Office of the Ombudsman has ordered former president Benigno Aquino III to comment on the motion filed against him over the issue on the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
The motion was filed by Congressman Carlos Isagani Zarate following the decision of the ombudsman to exclude Aquino from charges in connection with the implementation of the controversial program.
The ombudsman released the said resolution on March 7 which absolves Aquino but recommends the filing of charges against his then budget secretary Florencio Abad.
The former president is given 15 days to give his answer on the matter. — UNTV News and Rescue
