ONE Championship announced that its historic 100th live event on 13 October – ONE: CENTURY – was a record-breaking success.

According to official data released by Nielsen, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, the largest global sports media property in Asian history drew 85 million viewers across all platforms in its double-header event, which was broadcasted live in 145 countries.

Held inside the iconic Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, the showcase included 28 World Champions, as well as multiple World Championship Title bouts, World Grand Prix Championship Finals, and World Champion versus World Champion match-ups.

ONE: CENTURY also became the promotion’s first event to be broadcast to viewers in the United States on primetime Saturday night.

“I am thrilled to announce that ONE: CENTURY broke all viewership records and stands today as the most-watched martial arts event in history with 85 million viewers worldwide,” ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong said.

As the world’s largest media market in terms of eyeballs, Asia’s 3 billion viewers factor strongly into ONE Championship’s success.

Sityodtong revealed that China alone accounted for more than 10 million viewers on live terrestrial TV and digital platforms, and he believes ONE’s broadcast strategy will continue to capture a larger share of the global audience.

“ONE Championship currently broadcasts on free-to-air TV and digital platforms every week in every major country in Asia,” Sityodtong said.

“Even with the 85 million viewership number, we have barely scratched the surface of the full viewership potential in Asia.

“I am full of gratitude and appreciation to the greatest fans in the world for your love and support. I would also like to thank our incredible ONE Championship athletes for their excellent performances.

“It was a night of explosive action, showcasing authentic World Championship martial arts at the highest level in the world.”
