ONE Championship Announces ONE: EMPOWER – An All-Female Martial Arts Spectacle

The women of ONE Championship are about to take over the Circle.

ONE: EMPOWER, which will pit the world’s greatest female martial artists against one another, is scheduled for Friday, 3 September.

In the main event of the evening, ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan will make her fourth defense of the crown. This time, she will put the gold on the line against 13-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Michelle Nicolini.

Also, to open the show, female kickboxing great Anissa “C18” Meksen makes her promotional debut against ISKA Atomweight K1 World Champion Cristina Morales in a ONE Super Series atomweight kickboxing clash.

But in between the show’s opener and the main event, fans will get to see the entire first round of the highly anticipated ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix.

In the quarterfinals, #1-ranked contender Denice “Lycan Queen” Zamboanga squares off with #5-ranked Seo Hee Ham, #2-ranked Meng Bo challenges debuting Grace “Thai Kitten” Cleveland, Japanese rising star Itsuki “Android 18” Hirata meets American dynamo Alyse “Lil’ Savage” Anderson, and #4-ranked Thai superstar Stamp Fairtex rematches old foe and #3-ranked Alyona Rassohyna.

The winner of the tournament, which will conclude later this year, will face ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee.
