ONE: FULL BLAST To Replace ONE: EMPOWER

·1-min read

ONE Championship may have been forced to postpone its ONE: EMPOWER event due to the current COVID-19 situation, but the Singapore-based organization already filled the slot with another exciting card.

The historical all-women’s showcase was set for Friday, 28 May, and featured a ONE Women’s Strawweight World Title clash and the quarterfinals of the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix.

In its place, ONE Championship will air its tape-delayed event, ONE: FULL BLAST.

The main event will feature a Muay Thai thriller between #1-ranked bantamweight contender Saemapetch Fairtex and #3-ranked “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai.

The men were originally scheduled to battle in the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament final last year, but Saemapetch withdrew from the contest after he sustained an injury.

Now, both athletes will finally meet in a clash that could determine the next challenger for ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

Before the striking fiasco ignites the global stage, India’s Kantharaj “Kannadiga” Agasa and “The Hunter” Xie Wei will meet in a flyweight mixed martial arts matchup.

Agasa will enter the Circle for the first time, bringing to fruition his highly anticipated debut. Xie, on the other hand, tasted success in his last outing against Chan Rothana at ONE: COLLISION COURSE in December, where he scored a third-round TKO.
