One Holland Village: Experience the eclectic charm of Holland Village

One Holland Village Residences is located in the Holland Village enclave and within walking distance to the Holland Village MRT station on the Circle Line PICTURES: FAR EAST ORGANIZATION

Located at the heart of Holland Village in prime District 10, Far East Organization’s latest mixed-use development One Holland Village is poised to revitalize the area.

Right from the get-go, Far East Organization and its joint venture partners Sekisui House and Sino Group wanted to embrace and enhance the eclectic charm of Holland Village. They envisioned the development as one that would include the Holland Village and Chip Bee Gardens community, and wider precinct.

“We are not trying to be Holland Village 2.0, to become something different. You are really part of the existing Holland Village,” says Marc Boey, Far East Organization’s director of planning and acquisitions.

Taking a step further, the consortium will commit a sum of $20 million to public art in the future One Holland Village. “Whether you’re an overseas visitor or local resident taking a walk in the evening around this whole area, we want to expand the art not just within our development or within the confines of our boundary,” he adds.

Well-designed homes

As part of the wider One Holland Village mixed-use development, One Holland Village Residences, the residential component, offers a total of 296 units.

Holland Village was first established as a Dutch community. A nod to this origin, Sereen and Leven, out of the three residential offerings at One Holland Village Residences, translates to Serene and Life, respectively.

Strategically positioned to face the Bukit Timah Good Class Bungalow Area, the residential towers are well-spaced from the commercial area. This ensures that residents are able to enjoy their privacy. Present in the development are plenty of walkways, lined with lush greenery. Getting around is seamless, and is further evidence of the thoughtful design-thinking present.

At One Holland Village Residences, the homes are conceptualised with both owner-occupiers and investors in mind, catering to their different needs.

Leven, with only 21 exclusive two-bedroom units, is spread across three-storey heritage-inspired buildings. The façade and the spiral staircases take inspiration from the quaint walk-up apartments in both Chip Bee Gardens and Tiong Bahru.

For the homes on the ground floor, residents will enjoy the flexibility to extend the private enclosed space out to the expansive lawn, facing the pool. On the second storey, the unit comes with a private balcony with greenery views. Residences on level three feature a walk-up rooftop terrace – perfect for a barbeque session, or to laze around in.

The tallest tower within One Holland Village Residences is Sereen. With 248 units, Sereen has a good mix of one- to three-bedroom units from 484 sq ft to 1,098 sq ft. Thoughtfully- fitted for slow-living, Sereen is the ideal space for one to reflect and unwind, the balcony spaces serve as an extension of the living space.

Stacked above Quincy House, the 255- unit serviced residences, is the Quincy Private Residences. Occupying the uppermost eight levels, there are only 27 luxurious units of three- and four-bedroom apartments, and four-bedroom duplexes. For select units, the residents are offered unblocked views of the Holland area. In addition, concierge services*, a club lounge* and a private lift access are all available.

Currently, more than one-third of the total residential units have been sold.

At Quincy Private Residences, the four-bedroom duplex apartments are fully sold. There are, however, still three- and four-bedroom apartments available for sale.

A lifestyle destination

With 13,500 sqm of new retail spaces, One Holland Village offers residents a wide array of gourmet fare and retail therapy. The upcoming retail shops will be an additional boon to the residents looking for a different shopping experience. So far, Cold Storage, Guardian Pharmacy, Kinki Restaurant, and Bedrock Bar & Grill have committed tenancies.

Nearby, residents will have a diversity of retail shops and F&B outlets to select from. Chic boutiques along Lorong Mambong, Lorong Liput, and Chip Bee Gardens are less than a 7-minute walk away. The Singapore Botanic Gardens and Dempsey Hill are about a 10-minute drive away. For those who work at one-north, it is only a 4-minute drive.

Much of Holland Village’s charm comes from the whimsical, multi-colored shophouses in the area. At One Holland Village, the addition of The Projector, an arthouse cinema, will create an even bigger playground for residents and members of the public.

With a strong focus on community, One Holland Village has included pockets of spaces to foster interactions, and for the visitors to relax in. At the Village Square, Village Green, and the Village Deck, there are ample spaces in the compound for joggers. For nature lovers, the Holland Village Park is the place to enjoy a stroll, away from the bustle.

“At the end of the day, One Holland Village has something for everyone,” says Boey.
