Only 1 accused arrested in Sakinaka rape case: National Commission for Women

Jammu (J&K), Sep 11 (ANI): The 30-year old woman raped in the Sakinaka area of Mumbai succumbed to her injuries on September 11. The victim, who sustained serious injuries because of a rod put in her private parts, was undergoing treatment in Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai. Speaking on the incident, Chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW), Rekha Sharma said that only 1 accused has been arrested. “Only 1 accused arrested (in Mumbai rape case). National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken Suo Moto. If there isn't any development in the matter until this evening, I'm going to send a member to inquire about it and also extend help to victim's family,” said Sharma.
