New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): Parents, family members and school employees should be immunized against COVID to provide a full-fledged protective shield to children before opening of the schools, said Dr NK Arora, Member of National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI) on August 25. “Time has now come that schools should be opened in a phased manner. However, the adults - the parents and other members of the family should be immunised against the COVID. Similarly, in schools, teachers, employees, bus drivers whoever is coming in contact be also vaccinated so that there is a protective ring around children. Children don't get severe disease or get very sick with COVID,” he added.
