Orange announces Libon for Android, adds voice to iOS

Orange's WhatsApp /Skype rival Libon is now available for the first time on Android; the company has also announced the addition of voice chat to the iOS version of the app.

Libon is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and instant messaging application enabling users of the app to call or message their contacts for free via any 3G or Wi-Fi service. The application is seen as a competitor to other VoIP services, such as Skype, and instant messaging services, such as WhatsApp. In addition Libon features voicemail services, customizable for friends or groups of friends, and can even transform voicemails left on the user's phone into texts.

Orange has just announced that the service will now be coming to Android, available via the Google Play Store at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lifeisbetteron.com&hl=en

The iOS version is also getting an update, expected April 16, with integration of audio chat (using audio messages) and photo messaging. Reports suggest that these features could be added to the Android version over the coming weeks.
