Outlander season 7 confirms release date, will be split into two parts
The seventh season of Outlander finally has a release date.
The extended 16-episode seventh season will be split into two parts, with the first airing on Lionsgate+ on Friday, June 16. The second half will be released in 2024.
A number of new faces will be joining the latest season, including Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter, and Joey Phillips as Denzell Hunter.

They will be joining returning stars Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, John Bell, David Berry, Caitlin O’Ryan, and Paul Gorman.
It has also been confirmed that a character is returning for the first time since season 3, but with a new face.
Jenny Murray was played by actress Laura Donnelly in the show's first three seasons, but in the upcoming season she will be played by Kristin Atherton.

Multiple other characters, including some who are supposed to be dead, have been confirmed for season 7, including Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek), Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp), Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish), Laoghaire Fraser (Nell Hudson), Ian Murray (Steven Cree), and Joan MacKimmie (Layla Burns).
This will be the penultimate season of the popular show after it was announced the eighth season would be its last.
Starz confirmed the sad news to Deadline, adding that the final season will be 10 episodes long.

However, fans won't need to say their final goodbyes to Outlander just yet as a prequel series is in the works.
The prequel, which will also include 10 episodes, will focus on an unlikely love story – that of Jamie's parents Ellen and Brian.
Matthew B Roberts, showrunner and executive producer, explained: "Outlander: Blood of My Blood is, at its heart, a love story.
"It will explore what lengths a person will go to find love in a time when love is considered a luxury, and when marriages are made strategically, often for political or financial gain."
Outlander airs on Starz in the US, and streams on Lionsgate+ in the UK.
