Outpost, Geeks In Cambodia join forces to sponsor local startup
One eligible startup will receive a dedicated team desk for six months at Outpost Cambodia’s coworking and coliving space
Coworking and coliving spaces chain Outpost and tech media outlet Geeks In Cambodia today announced a partnership to support the Cambodian startup community through a startup sponsorship programme.
The sponsorship will offer one startup or small business a dedicated team desk for six months at Outpost Cambodia’s coworking and coliving space, among other benefits. The startup will gain access to Outpost’s network of coworkers, entrepreneurs, and creatives, four specialised consultation with the company’s team of global experts, and exposure on its social media channels.
To be eligible for the programme, a startup has to be registered and based in the country. It is also required to have not participated in an incubator programme before, or have been in business for less than 12 months from November 1, 2017.
In a press statement, Outpost co-founder Bryan Stewart said that supporting the local startup community is a cause that the company is “extremely passionate about.”
Application for the programme will be closed on January 22.

Founded in by Stewart and David Abraham, Outpost runs a coworking and coliving space in Phnow Penh, Cambodia, and another two locations in Bali, Indonesia.
Co-founded by Adrianne Ravez and Yohan Brizolier, Geeks In Cambodia runs the Startup Cambodia platform, which provides “free and easy” access to the local startup ecosystem.
Cambodia has begun to gain the attention of regional tech ecosystem.
In December 2017, Singapore-based venture capital firm ID Capital partnered with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and government of Australia to launch Mekong Agriculture Technology Challenge Startup Accelerator (MATCh). The programme targets agritech startups in the Mekong region, including Cambodia.
Cambodian mobile telecom company Smart Axiata had also announced the three local startups to receive investment from its US$5 million Smart Axiata Digital Innovation Fund (SADIF).
