CAVITE, Philippines — During summer, inmates at the Bacoor City Jail in Cavite commonly complain of various skin diseases, asthma attacks and hypertension. On top of these are year-round unbearable toothaches.

That is why the inmates were delighted when UNTV and Members Church of God International led by Bro. Eli Soriano, held a free medical and dental mission at the correctional facility.

This is a big deal for us because many of us have no capacity to  to buy medicines and no visitors. So we are very thankful),said Norbert, an inmate at Bacoor.

We are thankful that you came here. You brought great help to us. Thank you UNTV, and especially to Brother Eli.),said Belle, another inmate.

Over 100 inmates availed of the services offered at the medical and dental mission. Some had tooth extraction while some were given free eyeglasses.

Bacoor City Jail warden J/Supt. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for this activity. This is very timely for  the residents of Bacoor City Jail who really need this kind of activity because it is summer already).”

Meanwhile, the Bacoor City Jail Management installed an additional ventilation system to ease the heat inside the prison.   — Randy Forastero | UNTV News & Rescue
