Oxford County crash claims life of Windsor resident

A driver from Windsor is dead after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Oxford County east of London, Ont.

Police were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 59 in East Zorra-Tavistock at approximately 1:30 p.m., where the lone occupant of a passenger vehicle was found.

A 75-year-old was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where they were later pronounced dead.

Roads were closed on Highway 59 at Braemer Side Road and Strathallan Road but have since reopened.

The Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are asking anyone the information that could help with the investigation to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
