Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's unconventional family life with children Jack and Kelly on The Osbournes practically inspired a whole new genre of reality shows in the early 2000s.

While viewers watched Jack and Kelly go through that awkward teenage adolescent phase and explore only-occasionally successful side projects (remember Kelly's remake of 'Papa Don't Preach'?), there was one member of the family who never wanted to appear on the MTV series.

Ozzy and former X Factor judge Sharon's eldest daughter Aimée, a singer and actress, wouldn't grant permission to feature on The Osbournes, so her face was blurred in the rare occasions she was included in scenes.

Now 36 years old, Aimée has explained to Q1043's Out of the Box that she was concerned about the kind of exposure that a reality show would bring her.

"For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway and I always really valued my privacy within that family," she said. "For me personally and for who I am, as far as morally, and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager.

"It didn't really line up with what I saw my future as."

Aimée gave credit to her siblings Jack and Kelly, who have managed to parlay The Osbournes into successful careers in entertainment as adults.

"It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me and who I am I just knew it was never something that I was going to be able to consider realistically," she said.

The Osbournes originally aired on MTV from 2002 to 2005, with a new spinoff focused on paranormal conspiracy theories, called The Osbournes Want to Believe, now airing on the Travel Channel in the US.
