Parisian Park May Become City's First Public Spot for Nudists
The Green Party of Paris is set to propose a nudist park at a city council meeting on Monday.
According to Paris’s 372-member nudist association, the current nudist meetings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at a local swimming pool are getting too crowded. The group is now pushing for a public place to be au naturel.
Under current French law, those found bearing it all in public can be fined up to €15,000 ($16,800) or sentenced up to a year in prison.

But, according to French nudist activists, this law automatically equates nudity with sexuality or perversion.
“The nudist just wants to get rid of their clothing. To be free, accept his body how it is, enjoy the benefits of the sun,” Jacques Fremont, vice president of the Association for the Promotion of Free Nudism, told 20 Minutes.
The proposal mentions public nudist spots in cities like Munich, Barcelona, and Berlin. At the moment, there is no precise location proposal for the public nudist spot. But some have suggested an area in Bois de Vincennes, a large park to the east of Paris.
The nudists are hoping to have their day in the sun as early as next summer.
