KUALA LUMPUR: Pas has hit back at DAP for allegedly misinterpreting its stand on Barisan Nasional (BN), labelling DAP “confused”.

In a statement today, Pas Youth vice-chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari clarified that Pas’ position in the political arena is not “pro-Barisan Nasional (BN)”.

He was responding to Lim Guan Eng’s accusations that Pas is working closely with BN.

“We did not declare DAP as our main enemy in our Muktamar (general assembly). It was only mentioned by one of our delegates, and it does not show our party’s stand,” he said, adding that the Muktamar unfolded in a democratic spirit, allowing all Pas delegates to voice their views.

Ahmad Fadhli said that Pas has never declared its support for Umno and BN, except to say that it agrees with them on certain minor issues.

“There were more speeches that expressed disagreement with BN’s motions than those that (bashed DAP).

“Trust me, the time will come when some coalition members will voice their uneasiness towards DAP, just before the upcoming election,” he added.
