Pau Gasol played basketball with Kobe Bryant's youngest daughters at Lakers' facility
Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol spent six and a half seasons together with the Los Angeles Lakers. The two developed a close enough relationship over that period that Bryant's youngest daughters look at Gasol like an uncle.
Uncle Pau lived up to that title Sunday, playing basketball with Bryant's youngest daughters at the Lakers' practice facility. Vanessa Bryant posted a video and multiple pictures of Gasol hanging out with the kids.
The group was also joined by Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka. Prior to joining the Lakers, Pelinka served as Kobe Bryant's agent.
Gasol has spent time with Vanessa and her kids multiple times since Kobe and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, died in a helicopter crash. The group got together last August.
Gasol and his wife Catherine had a daughter the following month. They named her Elisabet Gianna Gasol. Her middle name is a tribute to Gianna.
