Paul George got traded to Oklahoma City and the internet went crazy

No one saw Paul George getting traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. So naturally, Twitter went crazy when the news first broke.


Yes, George made it known to the Indiana Pacers that he was not going to re-sign with them beyond the 2018 season. But the rumor mill had George likely going to the Boston Celtics or the Los Angeles Lakers.

And then all of a sudden PG was heading to Oklahoma. George’s now-former teammate Myles Turner said it best:


Twitter also had a lot of takes on how the current MVP, Russell Westbrook, felt about the trade.



A lot of fans wanted to make sure that this trade was legal. But in case you were wondering, the OKC police department were on the case!


A lot of people were surprised by the trade, even longtime NBA reporter David Aldridge.


But there is no doubt that the OKC fans have something to cheer for this offseason. After Kevin Durant left for the Golden State Warriors last season in free agency, the Thunder have a reason to rejoice again.
