Pellegrini: No Aguero injury

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini insists that strategy rather than injury was the reason behind Sergio Aguero's half-time substitution during his side's Champions League clash on Wednesday. The Argentina international scored from the the penalty spot in the first half to improve his scoring record at the Etihad 15th goals in his last 12 matches, but he was then replaced during the interval by Jesus Navas. Pellegrini has moved quickly to quell any injury speculation regarding the striker. "He doesn't have any problems," said Pellegrini. "He knew from the beginning he was just going to play 45 minutes." Despite the victory, the Chilean tactician was left underwhelmed by his team's effort. "I am satisfied because we won the game 4-2 but I don't think we played well," he said. "We didn't play with the intensity and the pace we have been playing with here at home."
