BUTTERWORTH: Penang Pas grassroots members and its supporters gathered to voice their support for the party's decision not to form any political pact with any party which has a working relationship with DAP.

The peaceful gathering, which lasted about 15 minutes, was held at the Masjid Abdul Kadir in Jalan Telaga Air here after Friday prayers.

They held banners which read "Lim Kit Siang diktator selama 51 tahun" (Lim Kit Siang dictator of 51 years), "Lim Guan Eng kaki rasuah" (Lim Guan Eng is corrupt) and "Lim Kit Siang Ketua Pakatan Harapan yang sebenar (Mahathir dan Wan Azizah macai sahaja)" (Lim Kit Siang the real Pakatan Harapan leader (Mahathir and Wan Azizah are merely lackeys).

They also chanted repeatedly "Hidup Islam" (Long live Islam) and "Hancur DAP" (Down with DAP).

The spokesman for the group of more than 50 protesters, Ibrahim Hamid, said Pas would not continue to be fooled by DAP and its allies.

"We fully support Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and we urged the people not to be easily duped by DAP and its allies," he added.
