KUALA KANGSAR: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah today graced an investiture in conjunction with his 61st birthday at Istana Iskandariah here.
At the ceremony, 299 recipients were conferred orders, decorations and medals by the Sultan.
Thirty-one individuals had received their awards last Saturday.
At today’s session, two state athletes and two former national athletes were among 65 recipients of the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP).
They were Muhammad Hakimi Ismail (national triple jumper), Mohamad Nasir Basharuddin (Perak football player), Josephine Mary (former national runner) and Ng Kah Liew (former national javelin thrower).
Also present were the Raja Permaisuri of Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, the Raja Muda of Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and the Raja DiHilir of Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah as well as Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
At the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin Shah also conferred the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM) on four individuals.
Apart from that, 28 individuals received the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP), Darjah Ahli Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (ACM) (10), Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT) (92) , Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) (96) and four the Pingat Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP). - Bernama © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
