Peter Andre has criticised his ex-wife Katie Price after she claimed on social media that he was "making money off my name" by selling stories to the press.

Andre, who has rarely spoken publicly about Price since their divorce in 2009, wrote on Instagram that flogging stories to the papers is "not my bag".

Price criticised her former partners Andre and Kieran Hayler earlier this week, accusing them of being responsible for a negative story about her online.

She said: "I’d like to make it clear that Peter and Kieran have contributed to the state of my mental health.

“I’m asking you both kindly to leave me alone now and stop making money from my name and using it for headlines involving our kids. Using kids as pawn is not fair.”

Price shares two children each with Andre — dad to Junior, 16, and Princess, 14 — and Hayler — who is the father of Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven.

The Mysterious Girl singer wrote on his own Instagram Story: "I don't do stories. It's not my bag. I never get involved. Just thought I'd let anyone interested know. Nice try though."

Price is currently in Las Vegas, where she plans to marry fiancé Carl Woods in the next few days.

She is also awaiting sentencing at a hearing in December after admitting drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.

In the wake of her admission, she was urged to seek treatment for drug and alcohol problems at the Priory.

Earlier this week, the 43-year-old shared several photos of herself reuniting with family after completing a course of treatment at the rehab centre.

She also shared a photo of Woods, writing: "This man has stuck by me in my most critical times and never done me wrong.

"The past four months have been challenging for him and I thank him for standing by me and giving me the strength I needed and support through yet again real actual traumas caused by people who I knew … the truth of all the events I encountered you will be very aware of soon."
