Petrol Bombs Rain Down on Police Van as it Approaches Protesters

Protesters hurled petrol bombs at a police vehicle, causing it to catch fire, during a day of violent clashes in Hong Kong on November 17 .

Video of the incident shows a number of Molotov cocktails raining down on a police van that approached protesters on a bridge near Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Earlier in the day, police had fired tear gas and water cannon at protesters outside the university.
