PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail says the coalition’s use of its new logo at the Seri Setia and Balakong by-elections is a timely move.
She said this marked the first time that PH is using its new logo at the polls, and will continue to do so.
"We will start using our logo from now on and let the people become familiar with it,” she said when met at the Seri Setia by-election nomination centre at the Petaling Jaya City Council Civic Centre.
Dr Wan Azizah said the logo will also be used at the Balakong by-election and hopes all the voters in the constituency would welcome it.
The Seri Setia state seat by election will see Halimey Abu Bakar from Pakatan Harapan contesting against Pas candidate Dr Halimah Ali in a straight fight.
Wan Azizah, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, hopes voters from both the constituencies will exercise their right to come out and vote on polling day on September 8.
"God willing, and with the use of our new logo, I hope more voters will turn up to vote in these by-elections compared to the recent election in Sungai Kandis," she added. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
