BANGI: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng today described Pakatan Harapan (PH) as a coalition for all Malaysians, unlike MCA which isolates itself by representing only one ethnic group. Lim, who is also Finance Minister, urged voters not to support such a party because PH is the one which continues to craft policies that benefit all races in the country. “PH is different when compared to (MCA). “The people are urged to not support a party that isolates itself, but instead back (PH), which represents all Malaysians,” he said when met at the Balakong by-election nomination centre at the Hulu Langat District Office here today. But MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong refuted Lim’s claim, saying that the party worked for the betterment of all races while under the Barisan Nasional banner. “This is just psychological warfare on Lim’s part,” said Wee, who was also at the nomination centre today.

He said the people should instead judge whether PH has succeeded in fulfilling its election promises in its first 100 days in office. “(PH previously) said that they would pay 20 per cent royalty to oil-producing states. “But now, they say the oil royalty payments depend on what definition is used (to denote royalty),” Wee added.
