Philip Keung praises Malaysia's pandemic prevention

28 Feb – Hong Kong actor Philip Keung recently admitted that he was surprised to find that everything is fine in Malaysia amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who arrived home in Hong Kong after his trip to Penang with his wife earlier, stated that Malaysians didn't seem to be affected too much by the pandemic.

"They go on with their lives as usual. People over there have a good self-discipline," he said.

Philip also stated that after his experience in Malaysia, he realised that the outbreak was not as dire as he would have thought.

"The most important thing is to protect yourself and to take precautionary measures. We need to always maintain our health and personal hygiene no matter whether there is an outbreak or not," he said.

Asked if he restocked face masks while he was in Malaysia, the actor said he didn't as there is already enough for everyone at home.

Malaysia has confirmed a total of 22 coronavirus-positive cases as of 25 February 2020, with 15 of them involving Chinese nationals. Among the patients, 18 have recovered and have been discharged.
