Hosted at the ICE BSD in a suburban area of South Tangerang, Banten, The Indonesia Fintech Festival & Conference (IFFC 2016) concluded on Tuesday with several new deals and partnership being announced.

Apart from that, fintech industry players such as startups, policy-makers, investors, and conventional banks have the opportunity to connect, collaborate, share their hopes and concerns, and even have their booths being inspected by Indonesia President Joko Widodo himself — who gave a speech encouraging young Indonesians to contribute to the nation by creating a solution to push for greater financial inclusion.

According to an organising committee spokesperson, despite being held outside of central business districts in Jakarta, the two-day event managed to sold out with up to 2,000 tickets being purchased by fintech enthusiasts.
