PHOTOS: Malaysia bids farewell to SEA Games

Malaysia concluded a successful 2017 SEA Games on 30 August, handing over the baton to 2019 host Philippines in a glittering closing ceremony at Bukit Jalil Stadium on Wednesday night.

The host nation ended the multi-sport competition by topping the medal table with 145 gold medals.

“We have witnessed many brilliant performances from the athletes from 11 countries… for all of us who appreciate and love sports, you, our dear athletes, are all winners whether you won medals or not. We know you have given your best efforts for your country. please go back home with your heads held high and with pride,” said SEA Games Federation (SEAGF) president, Tunku Tan Sri Imran Tuanku Ja’afar.
