Best dressed this week
Mumbai’s hot, humid summer can only be survived in style with breezy fabrics, skater skirts and mini dresses. Miss Vogue cover star Alia Bhatt shares the belief. This week, she stepped out in a multi-coloured Izzue number, paired with a summer-perfect Edie Parker clutch. Another to follow the girl-next-door look was Shraddha Kapoor. After attending the Colors Party in a Philipp Plein skater skirt, the star promoted her upcoming film in a coral fit-and-flare Ankita by Ankita Choksey number. Reese Witherspoon's embellished David Koma dress at the ACM Awards gave the A-line silhouette a party makeover. Florals made their appearance this week as well: Madhuri Dixit-Nene picked a white salwar kameez by Rohit Bal spotted with oversized roses, while Malaika Arora Khan chose a more intricate pattern with her Rahul Mishra dress. Olvia Palermo's Marchesa pick went one step further with the nature-inspired vibe—there's no missing the 3D vine embroidery all over her dress. If we had to pick one star who owned the red carpet this week, however, it would no doubt be Blake Lively. You'd be excused for absolutely forgetting she had a baby just last December: she was a sight to behold in that crimson Monique Lhuillier gown, and again in a sheer jumpsuit by the same designer.
