Pinoys again set out to prove that flying is more fun in the Philippines as the country's 18th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta opened Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.
At least 26 hot air balloons graced the skies over the Omni Aviation Complex in Clark Field, Pampanga for the opening of what is touted as the "longest-running balloon event in Asia."
The event, which will run up to Feb. 24, hopes to "fuel the passion for flying" and to urge Pinoys to "help move the aviation industry forward," the festival website said.
"It also hopes to create jobs and business opportunities by promoting tourism," it said further.
Rolan Garcia, who hops from island to island to capture the country's festivals in photos, shares his shots from the event.
