Latest Cherry Mobile Superion 3G tablets sell for as low as P3,999

The holidays are just around the corner, and as expected, new mobile devices have been popping up left and right in the Philippines in a bid to make it into shopping lists. The latest products to be announced are the Cherry Mobile Superion Discover and Cherry Mobile Superion Voyager tablets, priced at P3,999 and P4,999, respectively.

Besides the attractive price tag, another main selling point of the two is the inclusion of dual-SIM card slots to allow the tablets to seamlessly switch between two numbers when making calls, sending text messages, and accessing data.

Hardware-wise, the Superion Discover and the Superion Voyager are your generic-looking slabs of plastic running Android Jelly Bean. The pair is powered by a dual-core processor operating at 1GHz, alongside 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, with up to 32GB of additional memory via microSD expansion. Bluetooth radios, 2-megapixel rear cameras, and VGA front-facers are also on deck.

The glaring difference between the two are in the screen-size and battery departments. The Cherry Mobile Superion Discover boasts a 7-inch display and a 3,000mAh cell while the Superion Voyager is an 8-incher packing a 3,500mAh battery.

According to Cherry Mobile, the two devices will come in black and white variants and will be available starting next week. (October 17, 2013)
