On a day where a minute's silence was observed in memory of the 96 Liverpool fans who died after a crush at Sheffield's Hillsborough stadium in an FA Cup semi-final in April 1989, Liverpool stayed on course for title glory. The match billed as the title decider saw Liverpool edge out Manchester City 3-2 in a pulsating thriller which had everything -- goals galore, penalty controversies, stirring comebacks and a sending off.
