Malaysia's Legoland pampers kids, brick by brick

If you are headed for Malaysia on a family vacation this weekend make a beeline for the country's new tourist magnet, the newly opened Legoland theme park. Spread over 76 acres in the special economic zone of Iskandar Malaysia in Nusajaya in the southern state of Johor, Legoland adds to the varied reasons for visiting the country that prides itself as Truly Asia. LEGOLAND Malaysia is a full-day family theme park that features more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions. A unique highlight is Miniland, with models of major Asian landmarks including the Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Angkor Wat, and even India's famous Taj Mahal. All models are recreated in painstaking detail using LEGO bricks.

LEGO is a popular brand of construction toys manufactured by The Lego Group based in Bilund, Denmark. Britain-based Merlin Entertainments owns and operates five Legoland theme parks across the world. The new Legoland in Malaysia is the first in Asia.
