People gather at Speaker's Corner Wednesday for the start of the second protest against the government's population white paper. The first protest was held two and a half months ago on 16 Feb, also at Speaker's Corner.

Volunteers distribute flags and water to participants at the inaugural Labour Day protest. According to Goh, some volunteers objected to calling the event a 'protest', and wanted to call it a 'gathering' or hang-out' instead.
