Newly announced Cherry Mobile devices (June-July 2013)

Cherry Mobile is on a roll in announcing new smartphones and tablets.

One of those recently announced is the Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0, the follow-up model to last year's first-gen Blaze, which saw some "semi-hot in 2012" specs. These include a dual-core processor, a 4.7-inch display, and backside-illuminated 12- and 3-megapixel main and secondary cameras. An upgrade except in terms of single-handed usability, the 2013 Blaze retails for P9,499, a good P3,000 more than its predecessor when the first Blaze was introduced.

Note: We have already reviewed the Blaze 2.0.

Also in the mix of newly launched Cherry Mobiles are the Cherry Mobile Razor, Cherry Mobile Superion TV, Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0, the Cherry Mobile Fusion Wave, and the Cherry Mobile Fusion Wind, priced at P6,499, P4,999, P6,299, P7,499, and P5,999, respectively.

Unlike the others, the Fusion Wind is bundled with the company's MF1, a feature phone-slash-3G USB modem valued at P1,999, to sweeten the deal. (BY ALORA UY GUERRERO)
