Senatorial aspirants file COCs

All roads lead to the Commission of Elections headquarters Oct. 1 to 5 as the poll body accepts certificates of candidacy for senatorial aspirants.

Supporters flocked to the Palacio del Governador Building right across the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila Monday, the first day of filing, which saw majority of the United Nationalist Alliance ticket file formalize their Senate bids.

Members of the administration coalition as well as so-called "common candidates", meanwhile, individually filed their COCs.

Also among the senatorial aspirants are "odd" candidates, including one who says he is the husband of "Kris Aquino," and a man who claims to own the Philippines.
