The terminally morbid April Ludgate found the home of her dreams (or nightmares, really) in Parks and Rec’s final season: a creepy haunted house in Pawnee’s warehouse district with three bomb shelters, five dumbwaiters, and no kitchen. And who better to play the real estate agent than notoriously eccentric German filmmaker Werner Herzog? His deadpan performance was pitch-perfect, as he coolly informed Andy and April that the house used to be a holding cell for workers who went mad working at the Pawnee doll-head factory, and then looked on stone-faced while the happy couple furiously made out in front of him. — Dave Nemetz

In 2015, television made us laugh, it made us cry, it made us text friends “OMG?!” There were so many incredible moments that we couldn’t stop talking about on Twitter, in the office kitchen, via Skype with our moms.

There were hilarious musical numbers like “Pinot Noir” on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Kristen Wiig’s “Chandelier” dance at the Grammys. We stopped breathing for a few minutes during thrilling fights on Justified and Daredevil. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around that Times Square scene on Mr. Robot. And our jaws are still on the floor from seeing Cookie show off her goodies underneath that fur coat on Empire. Watching Cersei on her walk of shame on Game of Thrones was as electrifying as watching Peggy Olsen on her walk of non-shame on Mad Men. It was an amazing year of TV — here are the moments that we can’t forget.
