The plight of the Badjaos

They left home because of poverty but they still end up homeless and poor in urban Metro Manila. The Badjao, known as sea gypsies, is a tribal group which reside in the Zamboanga peninsula, Basilan, Tawi-tawi and Sulu islands. Photos taken by Mike Alquinto along Quirino Avenue, Metro Manila.
