Visita Iglesia: Churches to see in Metro Manila

The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, also known as the Redemptorist church, popularly known as the Baclaran church is one of the largest Marian churches in the Philippines. The shrine was visited and blessed by Pope John Paul II during his visit in Manila in 1981. It has become a tradition for devotees to flock the sanctuary every Wednesday, that was eventually called Baclaran Day, and perform the popular Marian novena offered for the Blessed Virgin Mary.
