In Pictures: CDL brings festive cheer to seniors

Around 50 elderly residents from the Henderson Senior Citizens' Home were treated to an auspicious Chinese New Year luncheon last Saturday by property developer City Developments Limited (CDL).

Held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, the event was hosted by Mrs Cecilia Kwek, wife of CDL Executive Chairman Kwek Leng Beng.

She was joined by senior executives including Chief Investment Officer Sherman Kwek and Chief Strategy Officer Kwek Eik Sheng, as well as employee volunteers.

This is the 10th year that CDL is organising such a luncheon for the home's residents, part of the City Sunshine Club (CSC) - the company's employee volunteer platform.

Started in 1999, CSC enables CDL employees to provide support to the less fortunate through befriending, youth mentorship and sharing of expertise.

In 2014, CDL employees achieved a total of 3,005 volunteer hours with participation rate of 75 percent.
