Pine and girlfriend ‘split’

Chris Pine and his girlfriend Dominique Piek have reportedly ended their relationship.

The 32-year-old Star Trek actor first stepped out with the South African Sports Illustrated model at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

Less than a year later the couple has called it quits, a source told E! News.

A spokesperson for the actor has yet to issue comment on the report.

Chris is known for keeping quiet about his love life.

He did open up to the UK edition of Men’s Health last year about his ideal woman.

"I do like dating cynics - they tend to be incredibly funny," he said.

"Dating someone on the opposite end of the happy spectrum teaches you an incredible amount of patience.”

Chris seems to be hyper-focused on his career as of late.

Earlier this week he said he doesn’t take his success for granted and feels fortunate to have won audiences over.

"I've been really lucky and kind of get swept up in the ocean of Hollywood," he told Entertainment Tonight Canada.

He also admitted the fame that comes along with such success can be overwhelming.

But he’s finally coming to terms with his high-profile persona.

"It's a great ride,” he mused. “But you surface and you're like, 'Where the hell am I? What is this all about?’”

If there's one car that's particularly sought-after among today's well-heeled car collectors, a Ferrari 250 would be it. It's as close as any mere mortal will ever come to owning one.

Buyers of Ferraris or Jaguars are used to perks from manufacturers – including racetrack lessons to help master their exotic machines. Ask me or any auto expert what's the fastest car you can buy for any given amount, and we could easily cough up several options. Same for most luxurious, or off-roadable, or any other measurement. Yet there's one type of question that's far harder to answer: What's the greenest, most environmentally friendly car you can buy today?
