KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 — PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is recuperating and may be discharged by her hospital in a few days, a party official said today.

PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said that Dr Wan Azizah is currently warded for observation.

"She had a fever over the weekend, but no indication of any serious illnesses.

"Doctors are conducting routine medical checkup and monitoring. She may be allowed to leave in a few days, depending on what the doctors say," he told Malay Mail Online today.

Fahmi also shared a photo showing Dr Wan Azizah and one of her daughters, Nurul Izzah Anwar.

Late last night, Dr Wan Azizah's political secretary Rodziah Ismail said in a press statement that the PKR president was admitted into a hospital for treatment and would be unable to attend various events such as the Dewan Rakyat and Selangor state assembly meetings.

Rodziah said, however, that Dr Wan Azizah's current condition was not worrying.
