Life doesn’t have to be all about work (x6), it can also be about working out — especially for those who put fitness first in their lives. But even if you’re quite the workaholic, the newest gym in the CBD is open 24/7. No more excuses.
Platinum Fitness, nestled in the basement of Tanjong Pagar’s OUE Downtown, is the latest exercise spot that never shuts its doors, so members can squeeze in a sweat session at any time of the day (or night). The brand, which is rather new to the industry, originates from the Philippines, with two locations that just opened in Manila earlier this year.
Decor-wise, it’s pretty minimal — but you’re not there to stare at the walls mindlessly, are you? Kitted out with workout equipment from cardio machines to a free weights zone, the space also features 72 lockers, three female shower rooms, and two male shower areas, all stocked with Ashley & Co toiletries. If you decide to swing by for a late night training session, just use your personalized access card to enter (although it’ll cost you $70 for the key).
For a quick glance at the fees, a one-month membership will set you back $150, while a six-month package costs $120 per month, and a year-long membership is priced at $90 per month — that’s on top of the registration fee of $50. Those who prefer to scope out the gym before making a commitment will have to fork out $35 for a one-time drop-in.
To entice you to join, Platinum Fitness offers a welcome pack filled with items like a thermal water bottle, a t-shirt, a tote bag, and a towel for new members.
If you’re not much of a gym person, then there’s also a 45-minute GetPlatFit HIIT class. It runs three times daily, and you can either access it via GuavaPass (if you’re a member) or get the one-class pass for a $40 glimpse of what to expect.
Platinum Fitness is at #B1-04/05/06 OUE Downtown, 6A Shenton Way.
