You only have 30 minutes to complete the raid, so you better come prepared with a good strategy and the right Pokémon.

Regidrago is finally arriving in Pokémon GO Raids this Saturday (11 March). In addition to being a really pretty card in the Trading Card Game's Silver Tempest set, it's also a pretty cool collection for your Pokédex.

And because you only have 30 minutes to defeat Regidrago, you will need all the advantage you and your team can get to succeed in defeating this Legendary Titan.

Here’s a quick guide on how you can counter and defeat this Dragon-type Pokémon.

What are Elite Raids?

Elite Raids are a new Raid difficulty level that you will need to complete in person (no Remote Raid Pass allowed). They'll be available at a small number of EX Gyms worldwide.

Elite Raids are intended to be difficult, with a difficulty level somewhat above that of Tier 5 challenges.

The hatching process for an Elite Raid Egg can take up to 24 hours, and once the Raid Egg has emerged, Trainers will have only 30 minutes to perform the raid. Trainers should plan and arrive in time for the spawn of these Raids, as you won't be able to use a Remote Raid Pass.

How to catch Regidrago

Unlike regular and mega raids, you would need to team up with at least eight other trainers for better chances of succeeding.

We stress again, remember that you cannot use Remote Raid Passes to participate in the Raid, so it would be best to plan your weekend with friends.

If you manage to beat Regidrago, you'll be given a limited number of Premier Balls to throw. It can be caught with a little help from some Golden Razz Berries and some Superb Curveball Throws.

Its maximum CP in Pokémon GO is 3361, and it has the following stats: 202 ATK, 101 DEF, and 400 STA.

Two of Regidragon's best attacks in Pokémon GO are Bite and Outrage (12.86 DPS).

Best Counters for Regidrago

Since this Legendary Pokémon is a pure Dragon-type Pokémon, Regidrago is weak against Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type moves. However, the Legendary Pokémon is resistant to Electric, Fire, Grass, and Water-type attacks.

You can go with Ice and Fairy-type Pokémon to counter Regidrago. However, Dragon-type Pokémon would be most suited to take on this Elite Raid.

Now, hear me out: Dragon-types are vulnerable to movesets of the same kind, so it sounds like a bad idea — however, if your team is confident that your Pokémon can deal massive damage to Regidrago, you can go for this high-risk-high-reward strategy that can take the Legendary Titan down.

Choose Pokémon like Dialga, Garchomp, Zekrom, Rayquaza, Salamence, Mamoswine or even Dragonite and Primal Goudon to take down Regirdrago.

The Top 10 Pokémon counters for Regidrago are:

It is recommended that players around level 40 form raid parties containing at least three trainers, each with Pokémon of the appropriate level from our list of top counters. However, for a sure shot, eight is the magic number.

Do not send out all of your mega Pokémon at once since doing so would be a major waste of damage potential; instead, deploy them in sequence to maximise the amount of time your team can profit from the damage boost they bring.

So gather your friends for the weekend and come up with a good plan to get Regidrago! Happy Raiding!
