Pole Vaulter Breaks Silence After His Bulge Breaks The Internet

French athlete Anthony Ammirati is speaking out after his Olympic pole vaulting dreams were pulverized by a pesky package.

Over the weekend, the 21-year-old athlete went viral while he was attempting to qualify for the Paris Olympics final, but didn’t make the cut after his leg hit the bar, then his crotch dislodged it completely.

In response to the bungle, Ammirati told the French Athletics Federation, “It’s a big disappointment.”

“I was at 100% physically, but I missed a little bit of the pole,” he added, per a HuffPost translation. “The conditions were good. It was the first time that I attacked the competition with no stress. Because I was a total outsider, I only had one objective: to play with the public. I was almost there.”

Despite the disappointing outcome, Ammirati’s literal BDE toyed with many libidos online.

Ammirati has also reportedly been offered a hefty sum of $250,000 to appear on an adult website, according to TMZ.

CamSoda vice president Daryn Parker reportedly said: “If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw: your talent below the belt.”

Whether or not Ammirati takes the offer is totally up to him, but if he does attempt to qualify for the 2028 Olympics, here’s hoping it’s not a flop.
