Police appeal after motorcyclist dies following horror car collision in east London
Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a horror collision in east London on Friday night.
The collision between a motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, and a car happened on Upper Rainham Road in Hornchurch around 9.45pm, near to the junction with Gordon Avenue.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the motorcyclist died of his injuries at the scene.
The man’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
The car driver stopped at the scene, police said.
There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
A scene was put in place while the incident was dealt with and the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to probe the crash.
