Najib had earlier tweeted his gratitude at having the opportunity to perform the terawih. He also quoted a hadith (Bukhari), which states that ‘those who enliven the night of Ramadan with faith, in the hopes of receiving Allah’s blessings, will be forgiven for their past transgressions’. “May we always be blessed by Allah,” wrote Najib. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
