Police reopen road after two-vehicle crash

A carriageway on the A38 in Devon was closed by police on Sunday for several hours following a two-vehicle collision.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at 11:08 GMT to the A38 at Chudleigh Knighton.

The eastbound carriageway was closed between the B3344 Chudleigh Knighton and the B3193 near Chudleigh while police made inquiries before being re-opened at about 19:20 GMT.

All people involved were medically assessed, with one driver taken to hospital then discharged and a passenger remaining under observation, the police said.

Officers have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
