The Singapore Police Force is looking into an alleged protest that occurred on an MRT train on Saturday (3 June) after a police report was lodged over the incident.

Social activist Jolovan Wham posted several photos of the incident on his Facebook page on Saturday.

In the photos, blindfolded activists are seen holding up the book ‘1987: Singapore’s Marxist Conspiracy 30 years on’. The book was launched on 22 May this year.

In May 1987, authorities carried out Operation Spectrum and detained 22 people under the Internal Security Act for their alleged involvement in a Marxist conspiracy to overthrow the government.

Anyone with information can submit it via the I-Witness portal, added the police.
