Police release picture of man in connection with attempted child abduction on train
British Transport Police (BTP) has released a picture of a man in connection with an attempted abduction of a child on a train.
A stranger grabbed a baby out of its mother's arms as she was preparing to leave the train at Worksop, Nottinghamshire, at 7.30pm on Saturday, 17 August.
He "took off down the carriage with her" but the force said "a relative managed to grab the baby back".
The man in the picture left the train at Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
BTP described him as "a stranger" to the family.
Officers believe he may have information that could help their investigation.
