The team seized 15.7g of drugs worth RM1,350, which was found on one of the suspects.

District police chief Superintendent Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi said the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 for trafficking, which carries a mandatory death sentence.

Zamri said the team from the Kampung Raja police station raided the house following a tip-off from the public at 6pm.

“Among the item’s seized were three vials of drugs which was found on one of the suspects,” he said today.

He said the suspects, aged 48 and 38, from Kampung Seberang Kastam and Kampung Alor Keladi, respectively were high on drugs. The duo had tried to escape the raiding team but failed as the house was surrounded.

“Both suspects were taken to the Kampung Raja police station for further questioning and both tested positive for methamphetamine,” he said.
